After several months of negotiations and political signals, an agreement to sign a potentially transformative just energy transition partnership (JETP) between Senegal and France, Germany, the U.K., Canada, and the European Union was announced at the Summit for a New Global Financing Compact.


Officials in Ghana should urgently address the country's engagement in the energy transition. This includes the creation of dedicated fiscal frameworks designed to collect and manage revenues from extraction of the country's transition minerals.

By adopting responsible and sustainable mining practices and embracing new technologies, Tunisia can position itself as a thriving transition mining hub, contributing to the country's energy transition goals.
